The No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes kept their national title hopes alive with a 42-28 win over archrival Michigan.

The game was tied at 21 late in the third quarter before the Buckeyes finally pulled away.

Ezekiel Elliott scored on runs of 2 and 44 yards, and then Darron Lee returned a fumble 33 yards for a touchdown that put the game out of reach.

Starting quarterback J.T. Barrett rushed for two touchdowns before suffering a season-ending ankle injury. Backup Cardale Jones replaced him in the third quarter and helped secure the win.

The Buckeyes improved to 11-1 on the season, while Michigan fell to 5-7.
