Former Ohio State commit Dane Goodwin has committed to Notre Dame.
Goodwin, a 4-star guard out of Upper Arlington, Ohio, announced his commitment via Twitter.

“Thank you to all the schools that have recruited me along the way,” he wrote. “I also want to say thank you to my friends, coaches, and family for helping me become the person I am today. I am proud to announce I will be continuing my academic and athletic career at the University of Notre Dame. Thank you to Coach Brey and the Notre Dame staff for believing in me! Go Irish!”
Goodwin committed to Ohio State and then-head coach Thad Matta back in December. He decommitted last month, shortly after Ohio State hired new head coach Chris Holtmann. He took an official visit to OSU a week ago, but in the end he decided on Notre Dame.
Goodwin is the No. 4 player in the state of Ohio in 2018. The No. 1 player — Darius Bazley — committed to Syracuse on July 3, and the No. 2 player — Pete Nance — committed to Northwestern last week. The state’s No. 3 player — combo guard Dwayne Cohill — will be announcing his Top 10 on Friday. Ohio State offered him back in mid-June.
Currently, the Buckeyes have no verbal commitments in the 2018 class. They have had three players decommit from that class over the last few months.
