Watch: Ryan Day And Greg Schiano Preview 2018 Season

Ohio State football interim head coach Ryan Day

Ohio State football kicked off its first game week of the 2018 season on Monday.

Acting head coach Ryan Day and defensive coordinator Greg Schiano met with the media to preview Saturday’s game against Oregon State.

They also shared detailed updates on the recovery of injured players like linebacker Tuf Borland, and position battles on both sides of the ball.

For the first time, Day confirmed that junior Michael Jordan will start at center, and not guard. Senior Malcolm Pridgeon will start at left guard, and either sophomore Thayer Munford or junior Josh Alabi will start at left tackle.

Day also shared the story of his first-ever start as a college quarterback, and Schiano discussed the biggest mistake he made during his first game as a head coach.

You can watch both interviews in their entirety below, as they streamed live on TheOzone Facebook page.

  1. One comment……it’s hard to hear with the bad sound quality, Would love to hear the questions.

    1. John – I agree. The issue is that OSU doesn’t use a microphone for the people asking questions, so how clearly you can hear them depends on how close they are to the camera.

The room isn’t that big, so they don’t really need it from an operational perspective like they would in a big hotel ballroom at Big Ten Media Days. But it would make it easier to hear the questions on this kind of video.
