Silver Bullets Podcast — Spring Football Concerns, Ryan Day, and Jim Delany

Ohio State Podcast Silver Bullets Podcast Ohio State Football

After a forced hiatus of a couple of months, due mainly to a lack of internet at my new home, the Silver Bullets Podcast is back. The off-season may be quiet compared to the college football season itself, but there is plenty going on with spring practices just underway and the looming annual Spring Game.

In the spirit of a busy offseason, we start out with the offense, breaking down our biggest concerns entering spring and the players we’re most excited about seeing. The quarterback battle? Yes, we’ve heard that’s a thing and spent some minutes on the subject. We then flip that over to the defensive side of the ball.

The NFL Combine saw Ohio State players light up the stopwatches but one of the biggest takeaways from the event is how dumb it is to have cornerbacks push a heavy bar up and down as many times as they can.

There are plenty of question marks surrounding how Ryan Day will differ from Urban Meyer (and how he’ll be similar) and we talk about that as well. The legacy of Jim Delany and the ramifications of his future retirement are interesting topics and we touched on those too. Plus, we remind you how old we are and how good the kids today have it when it comes to watching Ohio State on television.
