The Buckeyes seemingly get tougher tests every week and they seemingly pass them without too much difficulty. Sometimes, like on Saturday night, it takes the team a few series’ or even a quarter to figure things out but once that happens, the floodgates tend to open. Let’s hope that continues after this weekend’s open date, and let’s also hope that the few things that the Michigan State Spartans were able to do successfully on Saturday will provide the fuel for Ohio State to fix those and get even better.
Chip and I break down Ohio State’s 34-10 win over Sparty, review our predictions and our picks to click, and revel in another 500-plus-yard offensive outburst against the previously stout Michigan State defense. We also agree that being tired in the fourth quarter is no time to see Master Teague bearing down on you with a head of steam.
After talking about the week’s champions and players of the game, we take a spin around the Big Ten, discussing how the rest of the league shook out this weekend. Pundits will call Iowa at Michigan a defensive slugfest. We called it an offensively inept display by two college football teams. Seriously, why is Iowa throwing 42 passes in a one-score game?
