Wide Receiver Tyjon Lindsey Decommits from Ohio State
By Ben van Ooyen
The 2017 Buckeye recruiting class suffered a minor setback on Wednesday night as 4-star wide receiver Tyjon Lindsey announced that he had reopened his recruitment following a nearly six-month commitment to the Buckeyes.

Lindsey was a teammate of two other future Buckeyes in Tate Martell and Haskell Garrett out of Bishop-Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada. He announced his commitment via a Bleacher Report video along with 5-star wide receiver Trevon Grimes back in August.

The Buckeyes had just regained the overall class lead on Tuesday when junior college cornerback Kendall Sheffield announced his commitment, however with Lindsey leaving the class, they have fallen back to second.

The Buckeyes are still pursuing 4-star wide receiver Jaylen Harris out of Cleveland, Ohio, and his commitment could come at any time following his official visit on January 20. The loss of Lindsey could lead the Buckeyes to put some feelers out to other committed wide receivers, hoping to flip them as well.

When Lindsey committed he choose the Buckeyes over Nebraska, Texas A&M, USC and others. Nebraska is the assumed destination for Lindsey after the decommitment.

Lindsey's decommitment may help explain Eric Glover-Williams' move to receiver earlier on Tuesday.
