Buckeyes Well-Represented on All-Big Ten Selections

A total of 10 Ohio State players were honored by the conference as All-Big Ten selections, the league announced Monday.

Quarterback Braxton Miller was named a first-team All-Big Ten selection by both the coaches and the media and for the second-consecutive year is the winner of the Griese-Brees Award given annually to the league's top quarterback.
Miller has accounted for 29 touchdowns and ranks first in the league in passing efficiency among all starting quarterbacks.
Senior running back Carlos Hyde, senior center Corey Linsley, junior cornerback Bradley Roby and junior linebacker Ryan Shazier were also first-team selections by both the coaches and the media.

Additionally, Hyde was chosen as the Ameche-Dayne Running Back of the Year. Hyde has had a career year, rushing for 1,290 yards and 14 touchdowns. He leads the Big Ten with 143.3 rushing yards per game and also ranks first in the league in all-purpose yards per game with 155.2.
Linsley anchors possibly the top offensive line in the league while Shazier leads the league with 122 total tackles.
Roby ranks third in the conference in pass breakups.
Senior offensive linemen Jack Mewhort and Andrew Norwell were each named first team by the media and second team by the coaches.
As was sophomore defensive end Noah Spence, who has recorded eight sacks in his first year as a starter for the Buckeyes, ranking second in the Big Ten in that category.
Senior receiver Corey Brown and junior defensive tackle Michael Bennett were each named second-team selections by both the coaches and media.
Brown leads the team with 4.2 receptions per game and has tallied nine touchdown receptions this season.
Bennett has recorded seven sacks, which ranks third in the conference.
