Staff Picks - Florida A&M vs. OSU

Staff picks

There is no reason for Florida A&M to score in this game as even the second and third-team OSU defense should be better than the first team FAMU offense. I'm expecting at least three plays of over 50 yards for the Buckeyes, and career-high rushing games for Dontre Wilson, Ezekiel Elliott, Warren Ball and Cardale Jones. Ohio State 66, Florida A&M 0 — Tony Gerdeman (3--0)

The Rattlers rank 110th out of 114 FCS teams in total offense, behind schools such as Stetson, Wagner and Monmouth. Who? Exactly. Ohio State 59, Florida A&M 3 — Rob Ogden (3-0)

At some point the Buckeyes have to find out what this offense can look like with the shifter in high gear. This may not be the week if Braxton Miller is going to play a limited role on Saturday, but Ohio State still has plenty of fire power with Kenny Guiton running the show. They should also get a boost from the return of senior tailback Carlos Hyde, not that it matters against this opponent. Ohio State 59, Florida A&M 7 — Brandon Castel (3-0)

Florida A&M is not a good team and the Buckeyes should have no problem with the Rattlers. OSU will likely get a sizable lead early, play many of their backups and continue to score. Of course A&M will probably get a couple of scores on the backups to keep things somewhat reasonable. Ohio State 63 Florida A&M 10 — Patrick Murphy (3-0)

As I understand it, the FAMU band would probably be favored over the FAMU football team in seven on seven flag football. They might even be favored in 11 on 11 tackle football. The Buckeye football team is probably 50 points better than the FAMU band, and about 60 points better than the FAMU football team. Cardale Jones will be involved in OSU’s last scoring drive, and OSU freshmen will account for four of OSU’s nine touchdowns. Ohio State 63, Florida A&M 0 — John Porentas (3-0)

Last Week's Top Pickers: John Porentas for nailing OSU's final score and Patrick Murphy for coming closest to Cal's final score.
