What They Were Saying About the Michigan Game After the Win Over Indiana
by Tony Gerdeman

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Yes, the game with Indiana had just ended, but all that means is that our attention can now turn to the Michigan game. For the players, it means the exact same thing. After the Buckeyes' 42-14 win over the Hoosiers, the players and coaches were ready to talk about That Team Up North.

“I have great respect for this rivalry – humbled to be a part of it. When I say great respect, it almost makes me in awe. I'll say this, the responsibility sometimes can be overwhelming, what we have to do next week. We're working the game as we speak. We're all going to go home, see our families, then we're coming back tomorrow and ready to go.”

“Right now. Right now. I'm going home and watching them right now. No, I'm gonna relax a little bit, and then I'll watch 'em.”

Carlos Hyde

“I'm expecting that team up north to bring their “A” game, and we are certainly going to bring ours. It is going to be an exciting game, my last against them. I'm looking forward to it.”

Dontre Wilson

"I watched the game on TV last year, but to be honest, I don't really know that much about it. I'm sure going to find out soon though.”

Michael Bennett

“I don't think we would ever have a hard time getting up for that team up north. No matter what happened today, if they had kept it close or not, next week we would have come out swinging. As soon as the last whistle blew, it's all about that team. They're gonna get our best shot, and we're gonna get their best shot. The best team wins. Whether we had won 23 straight or not, this week would've been the most important week of the season, like it is every year. It's the biggest rivalry in all of sports, so you've got to take it to them every single year.”

Devin Smith

“Right now, I'm just soaking in the 23 games that we've won. But to be honest, I was thinking about that team up north last week and coming up to this week. It is a quick turnaround for us to get ready for that game, but I feel the way we prepared and how hungry we are as a team to do great things here at Ohio State, I think it's going to be unbelievable next week.”

“For me, I'm not even thinking about a Big Ten Championship Game. The most important game of the year is next week. I don't care what their record is, it doesn't matter what our record is. We're gonna go out there and everybody is going to give their hardest. They're gonna go out there and try to spoil our season.”
