the-Ozone Staff Picks for the SDSU Game
By the-Ozone Staff
The focus last week was on a fast start offensively, which happened. The focus this week is on maintaining that fast start. Defensively, it will be interesting to watch a more aggressive Ohio State defense, and whether that aggression leads to fewer points for the opposition, or more points. Ohio State 52, San Diego State 17 — Tony Gerdeman (1-0)
Chris Fields doesn't know who Brian Sipe is. If Sipe hasn't done enough to this point to make an impression on Fields, this game's not going to do the trick. Ohio State 42, San Diego State 17 — Rob Ogden (1-0)
What we saw in the second, third and fourth quarters of last weeks game against Buffalo have to be a bit discouraging, but I still think this team is much closer to the one we saw in the opening quarter of the season. Defensively, I'm not sure how good they can be, but the return of Bradley Roby -- and presumably C.J. Barnett -- should provide the type of boost that group needs. Ohio State 52, San Diego State 17 -- Brandon Castel
Last week the Buckeyes played one good offensive quarter and still managed to put 40 on the board. Despite their loss to a FCS school last week, I don't think San Diego State is that bad. Ohio State will get some of their suspended/injured players back and put in a better performance, more complete performance. Ohio State 45 San Diego State 10 — Patrick Murphy (1-0)
If you thought you really saw OSU last weekend you are mistaken. You saw what Urban Meyer and his staff wanted to let you see, which wasn’t much. They’re going to show you more this weekend. Ohio State 54, San Diego State 13 – John Porentas (1-0, and closest to the pin last week)
