Freshman Tight End Marcus Baugh Arrested for Underage Consumption
By Tony Gerdeman
COLUMBUS, Ohio — The life of a college freshman features a great deal of mistakes which then become learning experiences. One such learning experience occurred for OSU freshman tight end Marcus Baugh (18), who was busted this weekend for drinking while under age.
Per the police report, the arrest took place on 11th Avenue on Sunday in the South Campus Gateway area of the OSU campus. Baugh, from Riverside, California, was also cited for "displaying license of other".
Both charges are misdemeanors. The maximum penalty for each is six months in jail, or a $1,000 fine, or both.
Arraignment is scheduled for Monday, July 15th at 9:00 a.m.
Ohio State has not yet commented on the situation.
Baugh, who has yet to play a down for the Buckeyes, came to Ohio State as a high school All-American. Recently enrolled, he is expected to contribute to an already stacked tight end position for OSU this season.
