Men's Baskeball
the-Ozone Staff Picks
By Bhe-Ozone Staff

You think Ohio State's losing streak is bad? Nebraska hasn't won since before Christmas. The Buckeyes' last win came against this Nebraska team. My losing streak has reached two games, but will end Monday night with the Cornhuskers dropping their sixth-in-a-row. Ohio State 72, Nebraska 61 — Rob Ogden (1-2)

Nebraska is eventually going to beat a team that they shouldn't, and the Buckeyes coming in with a three-game losing streak would seem to be the perfect recipe for that upset to happen. Of course, Nebraska has a five-game losing streak, so there is that. I have to think that there's too much leadership and pride on this Ohio State team to let it happen tonight. They'll undoubtedly have to deal with the zone again, but it's time for them to start figuring it out. Ohio State 70, Nebraska 61— Tony Gerdeman (1-2)

There's nothing quite like a trip to Lincoln to cure a three-game losing streak. It's Ohio State's first such streak since 2009, but certainly not the first time in the last four years that a Thad Matta team has hit a rough patch in January. The Buckeyes won this game by 31 in Columbus. It will probably be a lot closer out in Nebraska, but I still don't see the Huskers having enough to challenge them. Ohio State 72, Nebraska 63 — Brandon Castel (0-2)

The Buckeyes will win again, so why not against a team they haven't lost to since 1985, who is winless in Big Ten play? This could be just the remedy OSU is looking for in order to get some confidence back in these players and end their three-game slide. Ohio State 70 Nebraska 58 — Patrick Murphy (1-2)

The Buckeyes beat the Huskers by 19 in January. That was in Columubus, so reduce that margin by about 10 for home court advantage. They other thing that has changed is that the Buckeyes have been exposed when it comes to a zone defense. Nebraska will try to capitalize on that, but it won't be enough. Ohio State 66, Nebraska 58. — John Porentas (0-3)
