Ohio State Recruiting: Prep Report
By Tony Gerdeman

Welcome to the weekly "How many touchdowns did Ezekiel Elliott score this week report." As you would expect, there is much to discuss on that front.

Surprisingly, however, Elliott's five touchdowns were not the most by an Ohio State commit last week, as New Albany's Darron Lee bested him by one.

Also, quarterback J.T. Barrett again proved himself to be a clutch quarterback in leading his team to a last-minute win.

Tim Gardner (OL), Indianapolis, IN Lawrence Central HS
Gardner helped pave the way for Central, who rushed for over 300 yards while notching a 42-0 win over Columbus North. The win moves them to 5-0 on the season.

Taivon Jacobs (WR), District Heights, MD Suitland HS
Jacobs continued his touchdown-scoring ways with a 25-yard touchdown catch in the third quarter of a 41-0 win over Parkdale. Jacobs finished with three receptions for 75 yards and three rushes for 47 yards. Suitland moves to 3-0 on the season.

Michael Hill (DT), Pendleton, SC Pendleton HS
Pendleton lost to Chesnee 35-28 in double-overtime as Pendleton played without their top two rushers. Hill did knock a pass into the air that was intercepted and returned for a touchdown.

Darron Lee (ATH), New Albany, OH New Albany HS
Lee had his best week of the season, accounting for six touchdowns as New Albany defeated Olentangy Orange 53-33. He rushed for 136 yards on nine carries, including touchdown runs of 58, 29, 10 and 5 yards. He threw for 93 yards, including touchdowns of 69 and 10 yards.

Johnny Townsend (P), Orlando, FL Boone HS
Boone moved to 2-0 with a 44-26 comeback win over Winter Park.

Joey Bosa (DL), Fort Lauderdale, FL St. Thomas Aquinas
St. Thomas Aquinas fell 20-10 to Don Bosco Prep (NJ) on national television. Bosa had six tackles on the night.

J.T. Barrett (QB), Wichita Falls, TX Rider HS
Barrett again led his team to a last-minute score, this one securing a 26-17 win over Amarillo. He completed 15-27 passes for 206 yards and a touchdown, and rushed for 119 yards on 22 carries, scoring once.

Tracy Sprinkle (DL), Elyria, OH Elyria HS
Elyria defeated Strongsville 41-14 to improve their record to 3-1. Sprinkle finished with six tackles and a sack.

Marcus Baugh (TE), Riverside, CA J.W. North HS
Baugh sat out last week due to a concussion and was reportedly out again this week as well. His North team lost to Citrus Hill 38-7 and fell to 1-2 on the season.

Ezekiel Elliott (RB), St. Louis, MO, John Burroughs HS

Per usual, Elliott had a huge week in leading his team to a 56-14 win over Lutheran North. Elliott rushed for 224 yards on just eleven carries, scoring on runs of 74, 62, 29 and 7 yards. He also had a 56-yard punt return touchdown. By the way, those numbers all occurred in the first half, which you can see right here.

Jayme Thompson (DB), Toledo, OH, Central Catholic HS
Thompson had a few tackles in a 55-19 blowout win over Oregon Clay.

Evan Lisle (OT), Centerville, OH, Centerville HS
Centerville beat Lebanon 28-19 on the road, and Lisle helped lead an offense that rushed for 345 yards.

Eli Woodard (CB), Voorhees, NJ, Eastern HS
Woodard's Eastern team lost 39-13 to Timber Creek to fall to 1-1 on the season. According to Rivals, he finished with four tackles, and also had five receptions for 95 yards.

Billy Price (DL/OL), Youngstown, OH, Austintown Fitch
Fitch moved to 4-0 on the season with a 45-0 win over Barberton. Price was credited with a sack in limited snaps.

Jalin Marshall (QB), Middletown, OH, Middletown HS
Marshall led his Middletown team to a 41-26 win over Fairfield. He rushed for 91 yards and two touchdowns on ten carries, and completed 7-15 passes for 40 yards and another touchdown.

Cameron Burrows (DB), Trotwood, OH, Trotwood HS
Trotwood improved to 2-2 on the season with a 52-6 win over Fairmont.
