Ohio State Recruiting: Prep Report

With playoff pushes heating up, high school games are growing in importance by the week. The Ohio State commitments went 15-2 last week, if that sort of thing interests you.

Tyquan Lewis (DE/OLB), Tarboro, NC Tarboro HS
Tarboro defeated Southwest Edgecombe 43-22. Lewis was part of a defensive effort that held the opponent to just 211 yards of total offense. Tarboro is now 8-0 on the season.

Tim Gardner (OL), Indianapolis, IN Lawrence Central HS
Lawrence Central moved to 9-0 on the season with a 31-7 win over Bloomington North.

Taivon Jacobs (WR), District Heights, MD Suitland HS
Suitland came away with a 45-6 win over High Point to improve their record to 6-1. Jacobs scored twice, once on a 13-yard reception and agai on a 75-yard punt return.

Michael Hill (DT), Pendleton, SC Pendleton HS
Pendleton's 34-7 win over Carolina Academy improves them to 5-3 on the season. Hill was recently named to the South Carolina All-Star team that will compete against the North Carolina team in the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas in December.

Darron Lee (ATH), New Albany, OH New Albany HS
Lee rushed for 92 yards for New Albany in their 17-6 win over Big Walnut to improve their record to 6-2 this year. Lee closed out Big Walnut's hopes with an interception late in the game.

Johnny Townsend (P), Orlando, FL Boone HS
Boone's 30-23 win over Ocoee improved them to 3-3 on the season.

Joey Bosa (DL), Fort Lauderdale, FL St. Thomas Aquinas
St. Thomas Aquinas shut out South Broward 48-0 to move to 4-2 on the season. The second quarter of the game featured an on-field fight that saw five players on each team ejected.

J.T. Barrett (QB), Wichita Falls, TX Rider HS
Barrett's Rider team defeated Lake Dallas 26-7 to improve to 5-1. Barrett's season is over due to his ACL injury.

Tracy Sprinkle (DL), Elyria, OH Elyria HS
Sprinkle's Elyria team defeated Stow 49-13 to move to 6-2. Per Rivals, Sprinkle finished with six tackles, three tackles for loss, a sack and three quarterback hurries.

Marcus Baugh (TE), Riverside, CA J.W. North HS
North defeated Morena Valley View 17-10 in a close one. North's offense was shut down, but they used their defense and special teams to pull out the win and move to 4-3 on the season.

Ezekiel Elliott (RB), St. Louis, MO, John Burroughs HS
Elliott had a "relatively" quiet game, scoring three times and rushing for 88 yards in a 56-0 win over St. Louis Clayton. Burroughs is now 7-0 this season. Elliott has 28 touchdowns and 1,139 yards rushing this year.

Jayme Thompson (DB), Toledo, OH, Central Catholic HS
Central Catholic stayed perfect, moving to 8-0 overall and 5-0 in conference play with a 49-21 win over St. John's.

Evan Lisle (OT), Centerville, OH, Centerville HS
Centerville lost a big game to Wayne 26-10 this past week, dropping them to 5-3 on the season. Centerville was held to just 160 yards of total offense.

Eli Woodard (CB), Voorhees, NJ, Eastern HS
Eastern defeated Clearview 36-20 to improve to 4-2 on the season. Per Rivals, Woodard finished with five tackles and a forced fumble on defense, as well as 140 yards of total offense.

Billy Price (DL/OL), Youngstown, OH, Austintown Fitch
Fitch destroyed Marion Harding 68-7, improving to 7-1 on the season.

Jalin Marshall (QB), Middletown, OH, Middletown HS
Marshall rushed for 165 yards on 24 carries, scoring on a run of 53 yards, in Middletown's 27-14 loss to Lakota West. Marshall completed 4-18 passes with three interceptions and a 15-yard touchdown pass. Middletown falls to 2-6 on the season.

Cameron Burrows (DB), Trotwood, OH, Trotwood HS
Trotwood defeated Troy 42-14 after spotting Troy a 14-0 head start early in the first quarter. Trotwood improved to 6-2 this year.
