Ohio State Recruiting: Prep Report

The regular seasons are winding down for a few of the Buckeye commitments, and for some, those seasons have come to an end. For those fortunate enough, the playoffs and playoff pushes are just beginning.
Tyquan Lewis (DE/OLB), Tarboro, NC Tarboro HS
Tarboro finished the regular season 10-0 with a 34-0 win over Beddingfield. With their perfect regular season, Tarboro earned a number one seed in their bracket of the state tournament.
Tim Gardner (OL), Indianapolis, IN Lawrence Central HS
Lawrence Central (11-0) defeated Warren Central 21-14 in the Sectional 5 semifinals. Gardner helped pave the way for 150 rushing yards from quarterback Drake Christen.
Taivon Jacobs (WR), District Heights, MD Suitland HS
Jacobs only caught one pass, but it was a 25-yard screen pass for a touchdown that gave his Suitland (8-1) team a nine-point fourth quarter lead in what ultimately was a 29-12 playoff-clinching comeback win over Bowie. Jacobs also added an interception prior to his touchdown reception.
Michael Hill (DT), Pendleton, SC Pendleton HS
Hill's season is over due to a finger injury.
Darron Lee (ATH), New Albany, OH New Albany HS
New Albany found themselves down 7-0 early in the game then rattled off 38 straight points in a 38-14 win over Mount Vernon. They finished the regular season with an 8-2 record and begin their playoff run on Friday.
Johnny Townsend (P), Orlando, FL Boone HS
Boone defeated East River 28-12 to improve to 4-4 on the season.
Joey Bosa (DL), Fort Lauderdale, FL St. Thomas Aquinas
St. Thomas used two fourth-quarter turnovers to hold off Plantation for a 24-20 win to improve to 6-2 on the season and 4-0 in league play.
J.T. Barrett (QB), Wichita Falls, TX Rider HS
Barrett's season is over due to a knee injury.
Tracy Sprinkle (DL), Elyria, OH Elyria HS
Elyria (7-3) trailed Mayfield 28-0 early in the third quarter before mounting a comeback that ultimately fell short in a 28-21 loss. Mayfield rushed for 449 yards, ending Elyria's season without a playoff berth.
Marcus Baugh (TE), Riverside, CA J.W. North HS
Baugh's J.W. North Huskies defeated Poly 38-0 to improve to 5-4 on the season. Baugh caught four passes for 98 yards, including two touchdowns. He also led the team with nine tackles, and punted three times for a 41.3-yard average with a long of 54 yards.
Ezekiel Elliott (RB), St. Louis, MO, John Burroughs HS
Burroughs improved to 9-0 with a first-round playoff victory over Confluence via forfeit.
Jayme Thompson (DB), Toledo, OH, Central Catholic HS
It was a highly-anticipated matchup between Central, who was ranked #1 in Division II, and Whitmer, ranked #5 in Division I, but the game never matched the hype as Whitmer blanked Central 42-0. Central drops to 9-1 and will begin the playoffs on Friday by hosting Midview (9-1).
Evan Lisle (OT), Centerville, OH, Centerville HS
Centerville picked up a 41-6 win at Springfield to end their season with a 6-4 record.
Eli Woodard (CB), Voorhees, NJ, Eastern HS
Woodard led his team to a 55-38 win over Winslow Township to move to 6-2 this season. According to Rivals, Woodard finished with seven receptions for 180 yards and a touchdown. He also had six tackles and two forced fumbles.
Billy Price (DL/OL), Youngstown, OH, Austintown Fitch
Fitch finished their 9-1 regular season with a 49-7 win over Cardinal Mooney. They begin their playoff run this weekend at Cleveland St. Ignatius.
Jalin Marshall (QB), Middletown, OH, Middletown HS
Middletown (4-6) finished its season with a 41-14 win over Cincinnati Princeton. Marshall rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns, including a 76-yarder. He also threw two touchdown passes. For the season, Marshall threw for 765 yards and 11 touchdowns and rushed for 1,421 yards and 14 touchdowns.
Cameron Burrows (DB), Trotwood, OH, Trotwood HSTrotwood (8-2) capped their regular season with a 27-3 win over Vandalia-Butler. They next play at Mount Healthy (9-1) in the first round of the playoffs this weekend.
