Ohio State Recruiting: Prep Report
By Tony Gerdeman

The regular seasons are winding down for a few of the Buckeye commitments, and for some, those seasons have come to an end. For those fortunate enough, the playoffs and playoff pushes are just beginning.

Tyquan Lewis (DE/OLB), Tarboro, NC Tarboro HS
Tarboro finished the regular season 10-0 with a 34-0 win over Beddingfield. With their perfect regular season, Tarboro earned a number one seed in their bracket of the state tournament.

Tim Gardner (OL), Indianapolis, IN Lawrence Central HS
Lawrence Central (11-0) defeated Warren Central 21-14 in the Sectional 5 semifinals. Gardner helped pave the way for 150 rushing yards from quarterback Drake Christen.

Taivon Jacobs (WR), District Heights, MD Suitland HS
Jacobs only caught one pass, but it was a 25-yard screen pass for a touchdown that gave his Suitland (8-1) team a nine-point fourth quarter lead in what ultimately was a 29-12 playoff-clinching comeback win over Bowie. Jacobs also added an interception prior to his touchdown reception.

Michael Hill (DT), Pendleton, SC Pendleton HS
Hill's season is over due to a finger injury.

Darron Lee (ATH), New Albany, OH New Albany HS
New Albany found themselves down 7-0 early in the game then rattled off 38 straight points in a 38-14 win over Mount Vernon. They finished the regular season with an 8-2 record and begin their playoff run on Friday.

Johnny Townsend (P), Orlando, FL Boone HS
Boone defeated East River 28-12 to improve to 4-4 on the season.

Joey Bosa (DL), Fort Lauderdale, FL St. Thomas Aquinas
St. Thomas used two fourth-quarter turnovers to hold off Plantation for a 24-20 win to improve to 6-2 on the season and 4-0 in league play.

J.T. Barrett (QB), Wichita Falls, TX Rider HS
Barrett's season is over due to a knee injury.

Tracy Sprinkle (DL), Elyria, OH Elyria HS
Elyria (7-3) trailed Mayfield 28-0 early in the third quarter before mounting a comeback that ultimately fell short in a 28-21 loss. Mayfield rushed for 449 yards, ending Elyria's season without a playoff berth.

Marcus Baugh (TE), Riverside, CA J.W. North HS
Baugh's J.W. North Huskies defeated Poly 38-0 to improve to 5-4 on the season. Baugh caught four passes for 98 yards, including two touchdowns. He also led the team with nine tackles, and punted three times for a 41.3-yard average with a long of 54 yards.

Ezekiel Elliott (RB), St. Louis, MO, John Burroughs HS
Burroughs improved to 9-0 with a first-round playoff victory over Confluence via forfeit.

Jayme Thompson (DB), Toledo, OH, Central Catholic HS
It was a highly-anticipated matchup between Central, who was ranked #1 in Division II, and Whitmer, ranked #5 in Division I, but the game never matched the hype as Whitmer blanked Central 42-0. Central drops to 9-1 and will begin the playoffs on Friday by hosting Midview (9-1).

Evan Lisle (OT), Centerville, OH, Centerville HS
