Per John McCallister, Lattimore has plenty of speed and very good burst. He has soft hands which will help him on either side of the ball. As a receiver, he is fast after the catch and a sharp route runner. He is a playmaker on both offense and defense. Defensively, he can cover from sideline to sideline and has excellent hips that enable him to turn and run with receivers.
With several spots open on the two-deep in the secondary, everybody will be given a look, including Lattimore. He would be somewhat of a surprise to land in the two-deep as a true freshman, though it is certainly not out of the question. If he is lost on the depth chart, then he may also get a look at offense at times.
