Ohio State Recruiting: Prep Report

It was a very productive week for the Buckeye commits, as every skill position player found the endzone this past weekend. Those players who didn't find the endzone, namely the four offensive line commits, were busy paving the way to an undefeated week for their respective teams.

Noah Brown, WR/ATH (Pope John XXIII, Sparta, NJ
Brown and Pope John (4-0) got a 37-0 win over Montville. Brown caught two passes for 23 yards and a touchdown.

[Season Stats: 24 carries, 214 yards rushing, 3 TDs | 18 catches, 323 yards, 7 TDs | 1 PR 2 yards | 3 KO 81 yards]

Curtis Samuel, ATH (Erasmus Hall, Brooklyn, NY)
Erasmus Hall moved to 5-0 on the season with a 48-0 win over Fort Hamilton. Curtis Samuel carried the ball 10 times for 189 yards, scoring from 26 and five yards out. He also added an interception.

[Season Stats: 603 yards rushing, 7 TDs | 71 yards receiving, 1 TD | 1 PR TD | 1 INT]

Malik Hooker, ATH (New Castle, New Castle, PA)
New Castle (5-1) got a 46-42 win over Blackhawk. Hooker had touchdown runs of 80 and 47 yards. He also had an interception.

Demetrius Knox, OL (All Saints, Fort Worth, TX)
All Saints Episcopal (6-0) rolled to another blowout with a 49-9 win over Oak Ridge.

Jamarco Jones, OL (De La Salle, Chicago, IL)
De La Salle (5-1) got a 38-16 win over St. Laurence. Jones made his season debut after returning from shoulder surgery.

Terry McLaurin, WR (Cathedral, Indianapolis, IN)
Cathedral (3-4) got a 47-30 win over Bishop Dwenger. McLaurin caught eight passes for 167 yards and a 21-yard touchdown.

[Season Stats: 41 rec 658 yards 7 TDs | 27 carries for 149 yards | 12 KR for 307 yards 1 TD | 6 PR for 63 yards]

Stephen Collier, QB (Lee County, Leesburg, GA)
Collier led Lee County (6-0) to a 26-0 win over Hardaway. He threw two touchdown passes (44 and 12 yards), and rushed for another from nine yards out. No box score was available.

[Season Stats: 63-123 for 1,021 yards, 13 TDs | 305 yards rushing, 10 TDs]

Jalyn Holmes, DE (Lake Taylor, Norfolk, VA)
Lake Taylor fell to 3-2 on the season with a 21-14 loss to Bird. Holmes left the game with an ankle injury.

Sean Nuernberger, K (Oldham County, Buckner, KY)
Oldham County (2-4) was on a bye week.

[Season Stats: 23 punts for 951 yards (41.3 avg), 59 long | FG 5-8, 46 long | PAT 15-16]

Dante Booker, LB (SVSM, Akron, OH)
SVSM (6-0) got a 61-7 win over Canal Fulton Northwest. Booker finished with 2 tackles, and 0.5 tackles for loss.

Lonnie Johnson, ATH (West Side, Gary, IN)
West Side (3-4) fell to Hammond Morton in a 63-56 shootout. Johnson carried the ball twice for 63 yards, including a 73-yard touchdown run. (Yes, you read that right.) He also caught three passes for 53 yards. He finished with nine tackles.

Kyle Berger, LB (St. Ignatius, Cleveland, OH)
Berger is out for the season with a torn ACL.

Sam Hubbard, ATH (Moeller, Cincinnati, OH)
Moeller (6-0) got a 31-28 win over Cincinnati La Salle.

[Season Stats: 37 tackles, 3 TFL, FF, 1 blocked XP]

Dylan Thompson, DL (Montini Catholic, Lombard, IL)
Montini Catholic moved to 6-0 with a 38-21 win over Immaculate Conception.

[Season Stats: 12 tackles for loss, 8 sacks]

Parris Campbell, ATH (SVSM, Akron, OH)
Campbell carried the ball five times for 65 yards in a 61-7 win over Canal Fulton Northwestern. He also had an 89-yard kickoff return for a touchdown.

Kyle Trout, OL (Lancaster, Lancaster, OH)
Lancaster moved to 3-3 with a 20-14 win over Groveport Madison.

Damon Webb, CB (Cass Tech, Detroit, MI)
Cass Tech (6-0) got an easy win over Detroit Ford 69-0. Webb caught a touchdown pass.

Marcelys Jones, OL (Glenville, Cleveland, OH)
Glenville (5-1) got a 48-0 win over John Adams. It was their second win over a president in as many weeks (JFK last week).

Eric Glover-Williams, 2015 ATH (McKinley, Canton, OH)
McKinley moved to 6-0 on the season with a 53-45 win over Massillon Jackson. Glover-Williams rushed 17 times for 130 yards and four touchdowns. He also completed 6 of 8 passes for 129 yards. Jackson led 29-26 midway through the third quarter.

[Season Stats: 92 carries 744 yards 13 TDs | 32-58 passing for 539 yards 4 TD]
