Ohio State Recruiting: Prep Report

There weren't a lot of huge weeks for the Buckeye commits this past weekend, as the competition is getting a little bit stiffer with the playoffs under way. However, as the cliché goes, November is for contenders, and most of the future Buckeyes are doing their parts to make sure that that contention happens.
Noah Brown, WR/ATH (Pope John XXIII, Sparta, NJ)
Noah Brown and Pope John (8-0) got a 34-0 win over Mount Olive. Brown had three catches for 77 yards, including a 36-yard touchdown. He also carried the ball once for eight yards.

Curtis Samuel, ATH (Erasmus Hall, Brooklyn, NY)
Erasmus Hall (8-1) beat Brooklyn Tech (55-7). Per Scout.com, Samuel rushed for 98 yards and a touchdown on seven carries. He also caught a 23-yard touchdown pass.

Malik Hooker, ATH (New Castle, New Castle, PA)
New Castle (7-3) lost 24-19 to Highlands in the first round of the WPIAL playoffs. Malik Hooker hauled in a 40-yard touchdown pass.
Demetrius Knox, OL (All Saints, Fort Worth, TX)
All Saints Episcopal (10-0) rolled to another blowout with a 49-27 over Houston St. John's.
Jamarco Jones, OL (De La Salle, Chicago, IL)
De La Salle (6-4) got an upset win over Crystal Lake Central with a 38-35 double-overtime victory.
Terry McLaurin, WR (Cathedral, Indianapolis, IN)
Cathedral (6-5) defeated Zionsville 35-21. McLaurin rushed for 42 yards and caught three passes for 38 yards.

Stephen Collier, QB (Lee County, Leesburg, GA)
Lee County (8-1) got a 55-0 win over Northside-Columbus. Collier rushed for a pair of touchdowns, including a 44-yarder. He also threw a touchdown pass.
Jalyn Holmes, DE (Lake Taylor, Norfolk, VA)
Lake Taylor improved to 7-2 on the season with a 42-0 win over Granby. Holmes recovered a fumble in the endzone for a touchdown.
Sean Nuernberger, K (Oldham County, Buckner, KY)
Oldham County (2-8) fell to Jeffersontown 17-15 to end their regular season. Nuernberger averaged 40.4 yards on his five punts, putting three inside the 20-yard line. He was 1-2 on PATs and 0-3 on FGAs.

Dante Booker, LB (SVSM, Akron, OH)
SVSM (10-0) got a 40-7 win over Ursuline. Booker finished with nine tackles and two tackles for loss.

Lonnie Johnson, ATH (West Side, Gary, IN)
West Side (7-4) continued their run in the playoffs with a 46-27 win over Highland. Johnson carried the ball five times for 11 yards and a touchdown, and caught three passes for 33 yards. He also had 12 tackles.

Kyle Berger, LB (St. Ignatius, Cleveland, OH)

Sam Hubbard, ATH (Moeller, Cincinnati, OH)
Moeller (8-1) got a 42-14 win over Louisville Trinity. Hubbard finished with 10 tackles.

Dylan Thompson, DL (Montini Catholic, Lombard, IL)
Montini Catholic moved to 10-0 with a 43-6 win over Morgan Park.

Parris Campbell, ATH (SVSM, Akron, OH)
Campbell carried the ball 12 times for 130 yards in a 40-7 win over Ursuline. He scored on runs of 80 yards and 21 yards.

Kyle Trout, OL (Lancaster, Lancaster, OH)
Lancaster (5-5) ended their season with a 40-27 loss to Newark.
Damon Webb, CB (Cass Tech, Detroit, MI)
Cass Tech moved to 10-0 with a 35-0 win over Grosse Pointe South. Webb caught a touchdown pass in the victory.
Marcelys Jones, OL (Glenville, Cleveland, OH)
Glenville (9-1) got a 49-24 win over John Hay. They begin the playoffs this week.
Eric Glover-Williams, 2015 ATH (McKinley, Canton, OH)
McKinley suffered their first loss of the season, falling 34-7 to Massillon Washington. Glover-Williams rushed for 77 yards on 18 carries. He completed just 2-11 passes for 17 yards and threw an interception. McKinley will begin their playoffs Saturday night against Cleveland St. Ignatius.
