The 2013 Ohio State football team kept its national championship hopes alive with a win over struggling Michigan, but it wasn’t as easy as expected.
The Buckeyes escaped with a 42-41 win after safety Tyvis Powell intercepted Devin Gardner’s last-minute two-point conversion attempt.
Ohio State improved its record to 12-0 and extended its school-record win streak to 24 games. Michigan fell to 7-5 on the year.
The Wolverines actually outgained Ohio State 603-526, including 451 passing yards from quarterback Devin Gardner.
But 226 yards rushing from Carlos Hyde and 286 yards of total offense from Braxton Miller were just enough to pull out the dramatic win.
