Gray committed to Miami last March, but decommitted in December, approximately two weeks prior to head coach Mark Richt’s retirement.
Ohio State offered Gray back in May. He has visited both Clemson and Miami over the last few weeks.
Gray (6-0 172) is the No. 4 cornerback in the 2020 class per the 247Sports Composite and the No. 51 player in the nation overall. He is ranked the No. 6 player in the state. ESPN ranks Gray as their No. 3 cornerback in the 2020 class.
Only five Crystal Ball projections have been made, with two belonging to Ohio State, two to Miami, and one to Clemson.
Following his visit to Clemson nearly three weeks ago, he said the Tigers were his leader.
Gray plays all over the secondary for Miami Central, from corner to the slot to deep safety and plays many different coverages at cornerback. He has no hesitation in helping out in run support and his play recognition at safety allows him to go from 13 yards deep to two yards into the backfield for a tackle for loss.
Gray is one of a number of cornerbacks in the 2020 class holding an offer from Ohio State, but they do not have any commitments. Florida prospect Lejond Cavazos decommitted from OSU when Urban Meyer retired, but Ohio State is still in the mix.
Fred Davis and Miles Brooks are a pair of teammates from Trinity Christian Academy who hold Buckeye offers. That is the same Jacksonville high school that sent current Buckeye defensive backs Shaun Wade and Tyreke Johnson to Ohio State, as well as freshman running back Marcus Crowley.
Five-star Arizona corner Kelee Ringo is ranked the No. 2 player at his position and the No. 11 player in the nation. Ringo took an unofficial visit to Ohio State last October and appears to still be interested in the Buckeyes.

Ohio State is recruiting in Texas as well, as there are offers to Dwight McGlothern, who asked OSU to recruit him, as well as Top 100 corner Lorando Johnson just recently.
The Buckeyes did not sign any cornerbacks in the 2019 class, which makes it imperative they sign as many as possible in 2020.
