WATCH: Ryan Day, Buckeye Players At Big Ten Media Days

Big Ten football championship trophy

The 2019 Big Ten football season is now – at least unofficially – underway.

The conference opened its annual Media Days on Thursday in Chicago, marking the start of preseason schedule of events.

New OSU head coach Ryan Day is scheduled to meet with the media for 15 minutes at the podium, and then again for an hour in a smaller group setting.

Three Buckeye players held press conferences as well. Safety Jordan Fuller, defensive end Jonathon Cooper, and wide receiver K.J. Hill are all set to share their thoughts on the upcoming season as well.

OSU will open its fall camp on August 2.

Their first regular season game is scheduled for August 31 against Florida Atlantic.

You can watch those interviews below.

Day’s hour-long press conference is scheduled to start at 3:15 pm Eastern time, with the players at 5:30 pm Eastern.

  1. I remember Jonathan Cooper between his sophomore and Junior years in HS. He would have rated about high 2 or low 3 star afterthought. Between his Junior and Senior year he looked like a guy who had a shot at becoming a fantastic player. I went to the Opening and he had become a man among boys. Virtually unstoppable. That’s why he was a 5 star recruit. He embraced being a little bit undersized and just worked his backside off and became good enough to compete with the guys already on the Buckeye roster. I’ve seen the same processes at work in his career as a Buckeye. He’s performed solid for his years here, but now it’s senior show time. Had everyone watched his early playing they’d see a guy who is going to explode in his final year. Attitude cures a lot of struggles. Attitude includes your work ethic on the field and off. You hit it and hit and leave nothing off the table and you become a polished player. JC has learned to believe in himself and the guys around him in the same way he did his senior year in HS. He’s going to have a great year.
