COLUMBUS — Ohio State head coach Ryan Day met with reporters on Tuesday to recap the Buckeyes’ 48-7 win at Nebraska on Saturday and also to preview this weekend’s upcoming game against Michigan State.
Day spoke for about 30 minutes on a number of topics, including the ongoing debate about student-athletes’ rights to name and likeness opportunities.
Also speaking with reporters was co-defensive coordinator and secondary coach Jeff Hafley. Hafley talked about how well his defense is playing and many of the individual parts that are making that happen.
Following Hafley, several Buckeyes took to the podium.
Fifth-year senior offensive lineman Josh Alabi spoke about his role on this team and the faith that kept him in Columbus.
Junior linebacker Baron Browning talked about his play on the season and why it’s better this year than last year.
Sophomore quarterback Justin Fields spoke the longest of the players and had plenty to say about the possibilities of this team and this offense.
