There isn’t a lot of experience on the Ohio State roster in terms of players actually playing H-back. Parris Campbell has only ever practiced at the position, and this spring was the first time he’s ever spent an entire camp there. Eric Glover-Williams moved over from safety in the offseason, so he’s still learning. K.J. Hill played in the slot last season as a redshirt freshman, but he’s never really been involved in the running game the way they’d like the H-back to be involved.
This being a spring game, I can’t sit here and pass any judgment on the offensive line or defensive line or the secondary because various units are split and the cohesion isn’t yet there. What I ended up doing is simply jotting down some notes on the players who will ultimately make up that defensive line or secondary or offensive line.
Urban Meyer didn’t hire Kevin Wilson as Ohio State’s offensive coordinator to keep things status quo. The Buckeyes have already seen how that story goes. No, Meyer hired Wilson to make some changes — or maybe “fixes” would be a better term.
