The Ohio State Wrestling team will have two members representing Team USA at the U23 Freestyle World Championships for the second year in a row. Last year, Myles Martin and Kollin Moore advanced, this year, Chase Singletary and incoming freshman Greg Kerkvliet will represent the Buckeyes at the U23 World Team Championships.
You may not realize this but recruiting in College Wrestling is often kept under wraps. Recruits will often not discuss who they are interested in or who is recruiting them. Let’s start off by recapping the end of the season for the Ohio State Wrestling team. After a successful season, Ohio State had a rough ending by going 0-3 in National Title matches. Joey McKenna (141) lost in OT on a very questionable takedown. Head coach Tom Ryan was very disappointed in the call, stating it cost McKenna a national title.
