Buckeye Leaves and Peeves from Ohio State's 38-7 Win Over Wisconsin
There is good and bad in every game. Some games have more good than bad, and some games have more bad than good. And some games are just a battle of wills between the Buckeyes and Mother Nature, and Mother Nature has taken the L. This feature is about acknowledging both the bad and good, or whichever stood out to us most.
Buckeye Leaf..........Number 2. Assign it to whichever number 2 you want to.
Peeve.........Wives. Rather than seeing the Buckeyes play I had to go to a concert at the Barclays Center so the wife could see Dimash Kudaibergen. I survived but barely. It was still a great concert, but, the Buckeye game would have been better.
My leaf goes to Nina Day, as was proven again this week her husband has some work to do in those "shoddy" 1st quarters! XDDD
Peeves are the combination of offensive lassez faire, counting on their ability to turn it on when needed with the warnings that went ignored up to the partial block of a Chrisman punt. There were at least 2 near-blocks before it happened so the coaches have NO excuse for not fixing it and we have a blown 'save'...err...shutout to show for it.
How about a leaf for the OL. Sure they had a rough first half but they recovered and blocked like a machine in the second half. In fact, had we not been able to run as well as we did, it could have been a different game.
Another leaf is for Hafley for the 4x4x3.
Peeve is on Christman taking so long to punt on multiple occasions. Also Wisconsin had a good blocking scheme on kickoff returns that our special teams coaches never figured how to adjust for it.
