Deuces Wild -- JK Dobbins, Chase Young Big Ten Players of the Week
From an Ohio State press release. No. 2s are No. 1 in the Big Ten This Week J.K. Dobbins and Chase Young are the Big Ten’s offensive and defensive players of the week COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State running back J.K. Dobbins and defensive end Chase Young have been named the Big Ten Conference offensive and…
Chase Young and the defense were MVP in that game. The Buckeyes never needed another point after halftime. Chris Olave deserves just as much credit as anybody on offense for turning that game around and picking up crucial third downs, not to mention scoring the first touchdown to take the momentum and permanent lead into half time. Congrats to Young and Dobbins and recognition for Olave for an outstanding game as well.
If Young and Dobbins weren't the MVP's, then there shouldn't be that award.
The Heisman Trophy should just be given to The OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY. When or if has a college team ever had three legitimate Heisman Trophy candidates, all worthy of winning it. I am a Joey Burrow fan, so if we include him there are 4 legitimate Heisman Trophy candidates with OSU connections. I dare say this has never happened in college football. If one of the Buckeyes don't win, then I hope Joey wins. I saw him play several times in high school. He is a good kid and I wouldn't mind seeing a LSU vs OSU national championship.
My JK tribute with due apologies to The Reverend Billy F. Gibbons and his team.
Rumour spreadin’ ‘round in that Texas town
'bout that back who left La Grange
and you know who I'm talkin' about.
He hit the road, came to O-H-I-O
where backs with game will make a name.
He’s gotta lotta nice moves.
A haw, haw, haw, haw, a haw.
A haw, haw, haw.
Well, the runnin’s fine behind a whoopass line
and JK’s cuts drop tacklers on their butts.
A hmm, hmm. And I hear
D’s are shittin’ bricks ‘bout his bagga tricks,
but now I might be mistaken.
hmm, hmm, hmm, hmm.
