On this episode of Accost the Field, we don’t really spend too much time looking back at Michigan State, but we do discuss some of the questions that came from that game — like what the Buckeyes will do at linebacker and whether or not the running game will continue to resemble the brutish machine it was against Michigan State.
The title of this podcast borrows from an old Tom T. Hall song about a cold night at a hotel in Des Moines, but I thought it fit here so I’m using it. It was 13 below in Tom’s song, so I doubt he was tough enough to go without a coat like I do. Anyway, we obviously talked about the Iowa game and how it relates to the Michigan State game.
Yep, we went and did two episodes this week. We spent so much time talking about Penn State earlier in the week that we didn’t want to rush through Iowa. We still kind of ended up rushing through Iowa in this show, but what’re ya gonna do? We have had a request to have a more detailed rundown of the show, but that’s really time consuming.
This week’s episode looks back at Ohio State’s 39-38 win over Penn State because there’s still so much to talk about. We’re planning on having another show up on Friday to talk about Iowa and the rest of the goings on. As you are no doubt aware, we are now on iTunes. I’d ask that you go ahead and rate it and review it so that more…
I think it’s been three weeks since the last episode of Accost the Field, and for that I apologize to everyone of you. It was never my intention to go so long without a show, it was only my intention to make you miss it. I realize now that I have failed on both accounts. In this episode, we just talk a whole lot about the Penn State game.
Episode 7 of Accost the Field is titled Offensive Content because much of the talk centered around the Ohio State offense. There was also some discussion on the Buckeye defense, as well as how much control Kevin Wilson actually has in Urban Meyer’s system. There are plenty of other things as well, but I’ll leave that for the rundown.
Episode 6 of Accost the Field is now live and available for your watchful ears. In this week’s episode, Tony takes a look back at Ohio State’s win over Indiana, providing three things he liked about the game, and three things he didn’t. Some news of the day then gets discussed before getting into this Saturday’s contest against Oklahoma.
Yes, it’s been two weeks since the last episode of Accost the Field, and for that we apologize. Some unforeseen technical difficulties forced us to scrap the last show, but trust me, it was amazing. Probably the best podcast ever recorded, and that’s me being conservative. We are back this week to talk about the week that was at Ohio State…
In this episode of Accost the Field with Tony Gerdeman, the show begins with a discussion of Paul Finebaum claiming that people should have expected more from Urban Meyer in his first five seasons at Ohio State. We then move into reality after that and talk about things that actually exist. The Rundown + Updates from the quarterbacks…
Welcome to Episode 3 of Accost the Field. This week we discuss a bunch of different things surround the Ohio State football program. Most of it is based on media availabilities with the Buckeye linebackers and offensive line this past week. We also discuss Notre Dame’s “controversial” media policy and compare it to Ohio State’s.
