Keyton (6-3 183) is ranked the No. 32 receiver in the 2019 class according to the 247Sports Composite. He was an Honorable Mention All-State performer as a sophomore when he led the state of Georgia in receiving yards (1,347). This past season as a junior he was named Second-Team All-State following a year where he caught 59 passes for 1,294 yards and 16 touchdowns.
Keyton is the No. 4 receiver in the state of Georgia for the 2019 recruiting cycle, which gives you an idea of how deep the talent is in the state. The University of Georgia already has commitments from 5-star in-state receivers Jadon Haselwood and Dominick Blaylock, which may make the Bulldogs less of a favorite than normally expected.
On the field, Keyton displays very good ball awareness, tracking passes with tremendous hand-eye coordination. He catches the football in traffic just as easily as he high-points it in the back of the end zone. Keyton ran a 4.82 at a The Opening Regional combine last March on a track that saw Haselwood run a 4.69. Only one player went under 4.50 on the day.
Ohio State has just one commit in the 2019 class to this point. Four-star West Virginia offensive tackle Doug Nester committed back in August, but he won’t be alone for much longer. Per 247Sports, OSU has offered 17 wide receivers in the 2019 class so far. That numbers is going to continue to grow.
Ramel Keyton has been one of the most productive receivers in the nation over the past two seasons and there is no reason to expect that to change during his senior season this fall.
