The Ohio State men’s basketball team will open the regular season Wednesday night against in-state rival Cincinnati.
The Buckeyes and Bearcats have only met 10 times in their history.
This is the first time OSU has played at UC since 1920, and will be the first game in the Bearcats’ newly-renovated arena.
The Buckeyes won the last meeting between the programs, in the 2012 Sweet 16.
Tuesday afternoon, OSU head coach Chris Holtmann and some of his players met with with media.
They discussed the surprising departure of forward Micah Potter.
They also talked about the revival of the in-state rivalry.
