X… uhhhh… Labels The Spot At Ohio State This Week

Crossed Out M Ohio Stadium

The biggest week on the Ohio State football calendar is finally here.

The annual clash with the Buckeyes’ arch-rivals up north is always in the forefront of every OSU fan’s thought.

Appropriately, the week leading up to the actual contest is filled with traditions to reflect that.

There is – or was – the annual leap into a freezing body of water. OSU pulled the plug on that one this year, and it sounds like it won’t be back.

The Red Cross holds its annual Blood Battle where students at both schools hold a contest to see who can donate a greater quantity of blood.

And on the Sunday night before the regular season finale, students go all across OSU to cross out every instance of a certain letter they can find.

No one apparently has an official tally on exactly how often that particular letter appears on signage around the school.

An official count, though, would be “a lot.”

And the tradition went beyond just the signage. Players on the OSU squad got into the act as well, as you can see below.
