Ohio State graduate senior center Billy Price was named the Big Ten Rimington-Pace Offensive Lineman of the Year on Thursday. It was the third year in a row a Buckeye has won the award, as Price joined Pat Elflein (2016) and Taylor Decker (2015) as recent recipients.
Price, who was a First-Team All-American as a right guard last season, moved to center in the offseason and arguably became the nation’s best at that position as well.
As a captain and the “apex” of the Ohio State offense, Price has helped lead the the way for the Big Ten’s best rushing attack (250.3 ypg) this season and the best total offense in school history (529.8 ypg).
Price owns the school record with 53 career starts.
Price is the eighth Buckeye to win this award since its inception in 1984.
