COLUMBUS, Ohio – Ohio State sophomore running back Mike Weber is the Big Ten Conference’s co-offensive player of the week for his efforts in Ohio State’s 48-3 victory over No. 12 Michigan State Saturday in Ohio Stadium.

Weber, from Detroit and Cass Tech, set a personal best with 162 yards rushing on only nine carries – an 18.0 yards per carry average – and scored two touchdowns to help spark Ohio State to the win.

Weber opened the scoring with a 47-yard touchdown rush on Ohio State’s first possession and then put the game away with an 82-yard touchdown dash midway through the second quarter to put the Buckeyes up, 35-0.

Behind Weber and freshman running back J.K. Dobbins (124 yards), Ohio State stunned the nation’s No. 3 ranked rushing defense for 335 yards rushing on the afternoon, four touchdowns and an 8.0 yards per carry average.
