Nick Bosa will be on the sidelines for the Buckeyes this weekend, as will a top 2020 recruit who has already earned comparisons to the Ohio State All-American. Bryan Bresee, the top prospect in the 2020 class, is a 6-foot-5, 290-pound defensive end out of Damascus, Maryland. He has visited the OSU campus more than a few times, and this weekend he will be on hand for Urban Meyer’s return to the sidelines against Tulane.
Ohio State this weekend! #OH ‼️

Bresee holds offers from everywhere, and it is the Buckeyes who hold the Crystal Ball advantage, with five of the eight predictions pointing at Ohio State.
In his highlights, Bresee can play both inside and out, and excels at both spots. At his size and strength, he can simply overpower the offensive linemen in front of him, but he also uses his hands very well and is able to keep blockers from getting into him.
The Buckeyes currently have six prospects committed in their 2020 class, and it ranks third in the nation.
Bresee is one of a number of top 20 prospects Ohio State is recruiting heavily. Others include Michigan offensive guard Justin Rogers, Pennsylvania receiver Julian Fleming, California cornerback Elias Ricks, Arizona cornerback Kelee Ringo, California running back Kendall Milton, and Washington DC linebacker Mekhail Sherman.
As far as Bresee is concerned, there are few schools that have been able to showcase defensive ends as well as Ohio State. Joey Bosa was a three-year starter beginning as a true freshman in 2013 and became the No. 3 overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft. This past spring, Ohio State sent three more defensive ends into the NFL Draft.
Nick Bosa, meanwhile, could be the No. 1 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
The Buckeyes aren’t just at the top of the heap for 2020 defensive end prospects, either. In the current 2019 class, Central Ohio prospect Zach Harrison is the No. 4 player overall in the 2019 class. The Buckeyes are the favorites, but Harrison’s recruitment has taken longer than most expected.
In 2021, there is another local prospect in Jack Sawyer out of Pickerington, Ohio. He is the No. 1 strongside defensive end in the nation and the No. 3 player overall.
Ohio State’s recruiting has been on hold a bit while Urban Meyer served his suspension, but now that he is back and the season is underway, more visits like Bresee’s should start happening.
