Williams (6-2 169) is rated the No. 24 wide receiver in the 2019 class per the 247Sports Composite and the No. 130 player overall.
He was scheduled to take an official visit to Oregon last week, but canceled the trip. Williams did make an official visit to UCLA the week before. He visited Ohio State officially back in June.
Williams also has official visits schedule to Nebraska this weekend and Alabama two weeks after that. The future of those visits, however, would seem to be in doubt depending on where he ends up committing.
Williams, who was timed at 4.48 at The Opening this past summer, has offers from Ohio State, Alabama, Nebraska, UCLA, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Texas, USC, and many others.
Currently, the Buckeyes appear to be the favorite based on 18 Crystal Ball projections.
As a receiver, Williams is an elite playmaker with too much speed for a high school football field.
Last season, he caught 36 receptions for 1,062 yards and 19 touchdowns.
Williams can easily blow the top off of a defense with his deep speed, but he is just as likely to take a quick screen and go the distance, as you can see in the video below.

Me: Probably just a bunch of bombs.

The Buckeyes currently have one true wide receiver committed in 5-star Texas prospect Garrett Wilson. Wilson is rated the No. 2 receiver in the nation and No. 14 player overall.
There could be two other receivers currently committed to Ohio State in athletes Ronnie Hickman and Craig Young. Both players could also end up on defense as well.
The search for receivers will continue regardless of Williams’ decision on Friday.
Ohio State is still involved with Texas receiver Elijah Higgins, who is the No. 9 player in the class at his position, and Indianapolis receiver David Bell, who is the No. 22 prospect at the position.
There are other names as well, but the Buckeyes have seemingly drifted apart from many of them over the last two months or more.
