The Buckeyes squeaked out a 49-6 win over the mighty Tulane Green Wave on Saturday and we’re here to talk about all the things we liked and didn’t like about Ohio State’s fourth win of the season in as many tries.
Everyone is talking about Dwayne Haskins and Parris Campbell, but we found a lot of other things to enjoy from the win. The starting linebackers and the penalties continue to be a bit concerning, so there’s also a lot to discuss on the negative side ahead of a huge showdown at Penn State this Saturday night.
More news came out about Nick Bosa’s injury on Monday and we have to wonder if he’ll heal in time to even try to make a go of what is surely his final season of college football. I wouldn’t count out Nick’s return if a national championship is still in play, regardless of his draft status.
There’s also the big night game to talk about as the Buckeyes head into Happy Valley in what will be the most difficult environment Haskins has yet faced in his young career.
Can the Ohio State passing game continue its near-perfect start to the season? Will the running game finally break a few explosion plays? How will both defenses hold up after sub-par starts to the season? We talk about all of that and more and let you know which players from the Nitts have us a bit concerned.
We also hit you with our score predictions for Saturday’s showdown and (spoiler alert) we both think this will be a close one.
