The No. 4 Ohio State football team will get its toughest test of the season this Saturday when they travel to No. 9 Penn State.
The Buckeyes already have one win over a top-15 team away from from home, but the Nittany Lions should pose a more difficult challenge than TCU did.
It’s also the first true road game of the season. Unlike the trip to Texas earlier this month, the stadium will not be filled with Buckeye fans.
OSU blew a 21-7 fourth quarter lead and lost its last game at Beaver Stadium in 2016.
However, the Buckeyes are 4-1 in their last five trips to Happy Valley, and are 12-4 overall in the last 16 meetings in the series.
After OSU’s easy 49-6 win over Tulane, Meyer hinted that he may have started looking ahead at PSU earlier than expected.
It’s a big game, and one that will go a long way toward determining which school wins the Big Ten East, the conference, and a likely berth in the College Football Playoff.
