Ohio State vs. Michigan. That’s pretty much all you need to say.
The Game will once again determine which of the Big Ten’s traditional powers will win the Eastern Division, go to the Big Ten Championship Game, and have a shot to play in the College Football Playoff.
This year, however, things are a little different than they have been in every other year Urban Meyer has been OSU’s head coach.
For one thing, the Wolverines are favored in the game. And they’re also ahead of the Buckeyes in the Big Ten East standings as well.
But that would all change if the Buckeyes can pull out a win on Saturday.
Here’s everything you need to know to enjoy Ohio State vs. Michigan… other than heartburn and possibly blood pressure medication, anyway.
Kickoff Time
The game kicks off Saturday, November 24 at noon Eastern.
TV & Streaming
You can watch the game on FOX, or stream it via the FoxSportsGo app. Gus Johnson, Joel Klatt, and Jenny Taft are on the call.
Radio
The game will be carried live on the Ohio State Football Radio Network. Find your local Ohio State Football radio station here.
Weather
As of Monday, the forecast is calling for showers and a high of 52 with winds of about 10 miles per hour in Columbus on Saturday.
That is subject to change, of course, between now and then. Right now, there’s about a 60 percent chance of rain.
Point Spread
Michigan opened as a 3.5-point favorite over the Buckeyes. It’s the first time they’ve been favored in Columbus since 2004. That was also the last time Michigan won a share of the Big Ten championship.
It was also a year when Ted Ginn returned a punt, and the Buckeyes pulled off a shocking 37-21 upset behind a first-year starting quarterback. Troy… something or other.
What ever happened to that guy?
Tickets
Unsurprisingly, tickets for The Game are sold out.
The “get in the door” price is currently $265 on the official Ticket Exchange, but those prices should continue to fall as kickoff gets closer.
Seats around the 50 in A-deck start at $550. Again, those prices will fall as game day gets closer.
Some free advice: you might not want to go the old-fashioned route and scalp a seat outside the Horseshoe.
OSU has said that they have seen a big increase in fakes, especially with “print at home” tickets.
They suggest you only buy tickets through Ohio State Athletics Ticket Office, Ticketmaster, and Buckeyes Ticket Exchange.
If you’re willing to risk buying from a scalper or a fan with extra tickets outside the stadium, look for someone with traditional-style tickets, not print-at-homes.
Gates at Ohio Stadium open at 10:00 am, two hours prior to kickoff.
Ohio Stadium Bag Policy
You may not bring bags or purses of any size into Ohio Stadium. According to OSU’s website, “Wallets and wristlets no larger than 5”x8”x1” are permitted. All items and persons entering Ohio Stadium are subject to security screening and inspection.” You can find the complete bag policy here.
Skull Session
The band’s traditional pregame warmup concert starts at 10:00 am in St. John Arena. Doors at St. John open two hours prior to the start of Skull Session, at 8:00 am.
Parking
Lots surrounding the stadium and St. John Arena are restricted to permit holders only. Parking in other campus lots, such as on West Campus, is available for $20 per car. Current A, B, and C parking pass holders can park in those lots for free.
