Chase Young Records Back-To-Back 10 Sack Seasons

Ohio State football defensive end Chase Young linebacker Baron Browning

Ohio State junior Chase Young just accomplished something only one Buckeye pass rusher has done before.

With a sack of Wisconsin quarterback Jack Coan late in the first quarter of Saturday’s game, Young notched sack No. 10.5 on the year.

That matches his total from the 2018 season, giving him back-to-back seasons with 10 sacks or more.

He is just the second player in Ohio State history to do that.

Mike Vrabel was the first, with 12 in 1994 and 13 in 1995.

Vrabel narrowly missed doing it a third time, finishing with 9 sacks in 1996.

Young is seemingly on his way to a big day against the Badgers. He has three tackles, including two for loss and that sack in just the first quarter of the game.
