Experience An Ohio State Football Gameday In Columbus

Ohio State football gameday

For generations of Ohio State football fans, a fall Saturday spent on the banks of the Olentangy River is an annual and cherished tradition.

More than 100,000 fans pack Ohio Stadium to cheer on their team, sing along with the OSU Marching Band, and pass along their fandom to the next generation.

Everyone has their own favorite tradition for a Buckeye football Saturday.

For some, it’s the walk across campus to the stadium, perhaps with a visit to Mirror Lake or the Oval. For others, it might be a stop off at the Varsity Club for a few glasses of “school spirit enhancer.”

Others enjoy taking in Skull Session, the Marching Band’s pregame warmup concert that packs more than 10,000 people into St. John Arena two hours before every home game.

Some put out a lavish pregame tailgate in the parking lots outside the stadium.

But whichever tradition means most to you, we hope you enjoy this sampling of the atmosphere around an Ohio State football home game.

We will continue to add new videos to this post throughout the season.
