In this episode of the Buckeye Weekly podcast, Tony Gerdeman and Tom Orr recap everything that was said at Ohio State interviews on Tuesday. Head coach Ryan Day spoke with reporters, as did co-offensive coordinator Kevin Wilson, quarterback Chris Chugunov, center Josh Myers, cornerback Jeff Okudah, and nose tackle DaVon Hamilton. The fellas also discuss the coming College Football playoff rankings and Ohio State’s fall to second.
The Rundown
We are just days away from traveling to Rutgers.
There are three things that make this job worthwhile.
Tony is going to stay away from Tom in New Jersey.
Rutgers fed us prime rib last night.
DaVon Hamilton should be All-Big Ten this year.
Ryan Day has the team focused on penalties this week.
Rutgers is undefeated against FBS Independents.
How much would they be favored by against Notre Dame?
Maybe Rutgers should be an Independent.
There’s gonna be some fun stuff to watch this weekend.
 Like Chugs.
What is fun to these guys.
The building also has fun stuff in it.
The cliques aren’t as position-based as they used to be.
Chugs calling Justin Fields a freak.
 Everybody raves about Fields’ intelligence.
Fields doesn’t try to force throws because he can just pick up yards with his feet instead.
The o/u on Rutgers total yardage is 4.5.
The first quarter line for OSU-Rutgers is OSU -11.5.
You don’t think Ohio State will be up 14-0 in the first quarter?
Ohio State has given up 11 points in the first quarter this season.
No update on Chase Young other than OSU is preparing as if he’s going to be ready.
 Which means very little.
Staking out the airport waiting on Chase Young.
 Guessing Rutgers superlatives.
 Preparing Jonah Jackson for winning.
Jonah Jackson should be well-received at Rutgers.
Ryan Day’s reaction to Don Brown saying OSU “better be careful.”
This will probably be brought up later on.
Just when you thought Alabama was dead because people said they were dead.
Those same people are now saying Alabama is in fact not dead but in fact very much alive.
 What has Alabama done?
What they’ve done best this season is where the Alabama uniform.
Josh Myers a great center and volume chef.
