Washington (6-2 193) is ranked the No. 11 receiver in the 2019 class per the 247Sports Composite, and the No. 59 player overall. He is the No. 2 player in the state.
ESPN’s recruiting service has Washington as their No. 3 receiver and No. 15 player in the nation.
Washington is scheduled to commit on August 7, and the Buckeyes are a very serious player here. According to 247Sports, he will be visiting Ohio State next weekend.
In his first three years on varsity, Washington has caught 97 passes for 1,894 yards and 28 touchdowns. Last season he caught 12 touchdown passes in eight games.
Washington has earned an invite to The Opening in July, as has current Ohio State wide receiver commit Garrett Wilson. Expect Wilson to do his part to get Washington into this class.
On the field, Washington shows tremendous athleticism on 50/50 balls. He possesses strong hands to catch the ball in difficult situations. He is dangerous after the catch as well, when he’s not leaping in a crowd of defenders for the football.
