Quarterback Dwayne Haskins and defensive tackle Dre’Mont Jones were named Ohio State’s offensive and defensive players of the TCU game, respectively.

Haskins completed 24-of-38 passes for 344 yards and two touchdowns, and also ran for a touchdown.

The 344 yards passing are a career high. On a side note, Haskins’ passing yardage was just five yards shy of J.T. Barrett’s career high.

Jones finished the game with six tackles, two tackles for loss, and a pick six.

Following the game, acting head coach Ryan Day said that Jones’ touchdown was the most important of OSU’s three touchdowns in the game-changing four-minute flurry in the third quarter.

He was also named Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week. It was not unexpected.

Ohio State also announced Champions from Saturday’s game as well.

Offensively, the entire offensive line was named Champions. It’s the second time this season that has happened, with the first being in the season opener. Left tackle Thayer Munford is the only starting offensive lineman who hasn’t earned a Champion’s grade in each game this season.

Joining the fellas up front were running back J.K. Dobbins and receivers Terry McLaurin, Binjimen Victor, Johnnie Dixon, Parris Campbell, and K.J. Hill.

This was the first week that Mike Weber did not make the grade. It was the third-straight week for Dobbins, Hill, Campbell, and McLaurin.

Defensively, defensive ends Nick Bosa and Jonathon Cooper made the grade. Defensive tackles Robert Landers and Davon Hamilton were named Champions, as were linebacker Malik Harrison and safety Jordan Fuller.

Bosa, Jones, and Landers have been named Champions each week this season. Fuller has been a Champion in the two games in which he has played. Harrison has been a Champion the last two weeks as well. He is the only linebacker to earn the grade this season.

The special teams player of the game was Johnnie Dixon.
