While Ohio State’s football team was delivering a crushing defeat to Penn State last weekend, their star player, junior defensive end Nick Bosa, was focused on his recovery more than 200 miles away.
Bosa is currently undergoing rehab at the Vincera Institute in Philadelphia after undergoing surgery for a lower abdominal muscle tear last week. Despite his injury, he is making progress in his rehabilitation, gradually resuming training drills such as ladder drills, albeit at a slower pace than usual.
For athletes like Bosa, getting back to the field as soon as possible is a top priority, and programs like IOP programs in CT can play a critical role in facilitating the recovery process. These programs provide comprehensive support, including physical therapy, mental health services, and other resources that can help injured athletes regain their strength, agility, and confidence.
“We’ve already had those discussions a little bit,” Meyer said last Monday. “But that’s down the road when he becomes healthy again. You can’t ask for a better family and people.
“I don’t want to paraphrase John and Cheryl Bosa, but as they said, ‘we trust our children to this program.’ And we will continue to do so. And so those conversations will be had, but absolutely. Not that you treat anybody different than another player. I want to make sure that’s clear. But that’s a real conversation that we’re going to have.”
