Terry McLaurin Ohio State Football Buckeyes

COLUMBUS — Ohio State has announced the Players of the Game and the Champions following the Buckeyes’ 27-26 win at Penn State on Saturday.

Offensively, the Player of the Game was receiver Terry McLaurin, who recorded no catches but made several key blocks and big plays on special teams.

Defensively, defensive end Chase Young was named the Player of the Game on that side of the ball. Young had six tackles, three tackles for loss, and two sacks. He also had two key pass breakups. Young was also named the Big Ten Player of the Week for his performance.

Along with McLaurin, the Champions on offense were running backs J.K. Dobbins and Mike Weber, receivers Binjimen Victor, Johnnie Dixon, K.J. Hill, and Austin Mack, and offensive linemen Isaiah Prince, Demetrius Knox, and Michael Jordan.

Prince, Knox, Jordan, Dobbins, Hill, and McLaurin are the only Buckeyes on offense who have been named Champions each week this season.

On the defensive side of the ball, joining Young as Champions are defensive end Jonathon Cooper, defensive tackle Davon Hamilton, linebackers Malik Harrison, Pete Werner, and Tuf Borland, cornerbacks Kendall Sheffield and Jeffrey Okudah, and safety Jordan Fuller.

This was the first time earning Champion’s grades for Borland and Werner. Fuller has been named a Champion each week he has played this season. (He missed the season opener.)

Linebacker Justin Hilliard, punter Drue Chrisman, Terry McLaurin, and Jeff Okudah all shared the special teams Players of the Game.
