Quarterback Justin Fields and wide receiver Binjimen Victor were named Ohio State’s Offensive Players of the Game following the Buckeyes’ 56-21 win over Rutgers on Saturday, while cornerback Shaun Wade was named the Defensive Player of the Game and linebacker Dallas Gant was named the Special Teams Player of the Game.
Redshirt junior linebacker Tuf Borland and fifth-year nose tackle Davon Hamilton were named Ohio State’s Defensive Players of the Game for their performances in the Buckeyes’ 73-14 win over Maryland on Saturday. Redshirt-sophomore center Josh Myers and fifth-year senior receiver KJ Hill earned the nod for the Buckeye offense.
The Ohio State coaches took a day off following the Buckeyes’ 38-7 win over Wisconsin, so their film grading sessions were a day later than normal this year. To no one’s surprise, however, junior running back JK Dobbins and junior defensive end Chase Young were named the Offense and Defense Players of the Game, respectively.

Junior running back JK Dobbins and junior left tackle Thayer Munford earned the honors on the offensive side of the ball for the Buckeyes.
Ohio State sophomore wide receiver Chris Olave, defensive linemen Chase Young and Haskell Garrett, and cornerback Sevyn Banks have been named the Buckeyes’ Offensive, Defensive, and Special Teams Player of the Game for Saturday’s 76-5 win over Miami (OH). Olave caught four passes for 54 yards, including a 38-yard touchdown.
For the second game in a row, junior running back JK Dobbins has been named Ohio State’s offensive player of the week. In Saturday’s game against the Indiana Hoosiers, Dobbins rushed for 193 yards on 22 carries with a touchdown. It was the second-highest yardage output of his career, behind only the 203 yards rushing in last year’s overtime thriller at Maryland.

COLUMBUS — In his first-ever game as an Ohio State Buckeye, sophomore quarterback Justin Fields was named OSU’s offensive player of the week for his performance in the Buckeyes’ 45-21 win over Florida Atlantic on Saturday. Fields completed 18-of-25 passes for 234 yards and four touchdowns. He also rushed for 61 yards on 12 attempts.
