The Buckeyes are back in the win column two weeks after the debacle in West Lafayette, and although it wasn’t a complete performance by any means, and there is still a lot left to improve upon, there were some positive signs.
We’re here to break down Dwayne Haskins’ worst game of the year, even though just about any previous Ohio State quarterback would take his 18-for-32 day with 252 yards and a pair of touchdowns. We discuss Brendon White’s emergence after another dubious targeting call against Ohio State, the re-emergence of the OSU ground game, and whether any of this will translate against the nation’s number one defense against the run this Saturday.
We’ve got some thoughts on how Urban Meyer’s suspension during camp may have affected the players who are able to get onto the field this fall, question why Ohio State suddenly got pass happy while protecting a two-score lead, and give our overall views on the match-up against Nebraska.
Then we turn our attention to Sparty and a solid defense that awaits in East Lansing. The Buckeyes will have to play much better to even get half the yards they got on the ground against the Cornhuskers. We talk about some of Michigan State’s players to watch and how Mark Dantonio will have the Ohio kids on his team foaming at the mouth to get a shot at the Buckeyes this weekend. We also give you our score predictions but feel free to ignore them.
