Ohio State Spring Game Kickoff Time Now Set

Ohio State will be announcing a major change for Saturday’s Spring Game.

The 2018 Ohio State Spring Game will now kick off at 11:45 am due to concerns about the weather.

An updated forecast now shows rain in Central Ohio that afternoon.

Similar concerns over Saturday’s weather prompted Michigan to cancel their Spring Game.

OSU’s game is a sellout, with about 79,000 people expected to attend.

Hopefully Saturday’s weather is better than this.

There is some good news as the Buckeyes try to beat the storms: Saturday’s game should be over in significantly less time than a regular season game. The scrimmage will feature 10-minute quarters, and the clock will run for the entire second half.

As a result of the weather, the OSU lacrosse game against Michigan that was originally scheduled for Saturday morning in the Horseshoe has been moved up to Friday night at 7:00 pm.

If you can’t make it to the Spring Game, we have a full rundown of ways you can watch it live on TV or streaming, or listen on the radio.

Here is the Ohio State release with further details.

Ohio State University’s 2018 LiFESports Spring Game, presented by Nationwide, will be played Saturday in Ohio Stadium, but at a new time: 11:45 a.m.

Parking is free in the lots around the stadium and on campus, with the exception of the west stadium lot. Gates into the stadium will open at 10 a.m. Parking lots will open at 6 a.m.

All tickets purchased will be valid for both the men’s lacrosse game vs. Michigan, which will now be played this evening (Friday) at 7 p.m. at Ohio Stadium, and for admission into the spring game on Saturday.  Therefore, fans attending this evening’s lacrosse game are encouraged to retain their tickets to attend Saturday’s spring game.

The game will still be broadcast live on the Big Ten Network and on flagship station 97.1 FM The Fan.

  1. “The LiFESports Spring Game, Presented by Nationwide”. Ugh and ugh. Pretty sure the game is “presented” by OSU, right?
