The Ohio State Buckeyes had few answers on the field during Saturday’s 49-20 humiliation at Purdue.
After the game, they tried to explain what had just happened.
The Boilermakers gashed the Buckeye defense for 5.6 yards per rush, and another 378 yards through the air.
On offense, OSU rushed for just 3.0 yards per carry.
Quarterback Dwayne Haskins set OSU school records with 49 completions, 73 attempts, and 470 yards passing, but it wasn’t nearly enough.
After the game, Haskins, head coach Urban Meyer, wide receiver Terry McLaurin, and safety Jordan Fuller met with the media to discuss the game.

Best Q of the night! , Bill, ” Urban, you mentioned these issues have been persistent throughout the year…Why is this staff capable of getting things fixed when you’ve had 7 games to this point and there doesn’t seem to be any progress made…?”
URBAN: “great question-well we’re 7-1 & chance to go 8-1”
Other answer “team is not disciplined”
“I love these coaches”
Add this all up and what do you have folks? A COACH IN COMPLETE DENIAL!!!! A DEER IN HEADLIGHTS that just got run over by a 3 star stepchild of the BigTen.
Now I will say that for 3 quarters our defense actually looked improved, but the lack of discipline on special teams, penalties & failure to produce points by the HORRIBLE redzone offensive play calling gave Purdue the continued belief and eventually our beat-up defense wore down.
Whether or not this is a wake up call that will be answered remains to be seen…but Urban has been hitting snooze on the alarm for way too long!
Still love my school! Go Bucks!
“Oklahoma Fires Defensive Coordinator Mike Stoops After Surrendering 48 Points to Texas”
Haskins is a great passer but it doesn’t appear he can walk let alone run.
That’s all I have to say about it for now.
You are doing a great job Haskins even though you are playing behind an overated bad O-line,as for the other side of the ball I thought the great Meyer recruited speed good tacklers and shut down corners and safeties, the linebackers are slow and the worst ever and the secondary is very average, this is unacceptable,I know they are young but cmon Eastern Michigan beat Purdue!
