The 2019 Ohio State football team is starting to take shape.
Monday, OSU head coach Ryan Day announced who would start as the Buckeyes’ quarterback this fall. And while there wasn’t a lot of suspense surrounding the announcement, it still provides a concrete answer to one of the biggest questions of the offseason.
He also introduced his first group of team captains. J.K. Dobbins, C.J. Saunders, K.J. Hill, Chase Young, Jonathon Cooper, Tuf Borland, and Jordan Fuller were named 2019 team captains.
After Day, new starting quarterback Justin Fields and all seven captains all met with the media to discuss their new roles and the preparations for the 2019 season.
The Buckeyes are set to kick off their schedule in less than two weeks on Saturday, August 31 against Florida Atlantic.
