Throughout the Urban Meyer era at Ohio State, the Michigan State game is commonly one of the most difficult games on the schedule, and 2018 portends to be in line with the previous contests. Of course, Ohio State has made this specific game with Michigan State even more challenging to predict, with the Buckeyes…
Nebraska comes into Ohio Stadium on Saturday afternoon, boasting a two-game winning streak, and an offense that is just as dangerous for Ohio State as Purdue’s was. The biggest difference is Ohio State gets to play Nebraska at home, and that may be crucial in what I believe is going to be a game that is more of the…
Up to week eight of the 2018 Ohio State football season, and the Buckeyes get to travel to West Lafayette, Indiana, for a nationally-televised night game on ABC against the Purdue Boilermakers. The last time Ohio State played Purdue was in 2013, so there are no players on the roster who have any previous playing history with the Boilermakers.
6-0, at the beginning of the second half of the 2018 season [sniffle..sniffle. Sorry about that. Just thinking about the college football season being halfway done is always emotional for me…], and Ohio State is in the driver’s seat for The B1G’s East Division. Next up, the Minnesota Golden Gophers. Minnesota has not played Ohio State…
September is in the books, and Ohio State has weathered two of the biggest perceived challenges that were predicted before the 2018 season began. Now Indiana comes to town for Ohio State’s homecoming weekend, and many Buckeye fans are looking at this game as a ‘back to pretty easy mode,’ kind of like how Oregon State…
Here we are. The game I ranked third coming into the 2018 season as Ohio State’s most concerning is upon us. The winner takes the inside lead to the B1G East Division, while the loser has to try to regain lost ground and hope for some help along the way. Like Ohio State, Penn State comes into this game undefeated.
The Tulane Green Wave will make their first trip into Ohio Stadium on Saturday as a decided underdog (Ohio State -37). The Buckeyes will welcome head coach Urban Meyer back to the sidelines for the first time this 2018 season. While Ohio State will be without the services of star defensive end Nick Bosa for the foreseeable…
Throughout the spring and into the summer, I wrote about the 2018 opponents Ohio State would be facing during the college football season, ranking them from order of least difficult to most difficult. We are now up to the team that I believed would rank as Ohio State’s most difficult opponent – TCU. OK, I know you are still chuckling.
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights come into Ohio Stadium 1-0, fresh off a 35-7 victory over Texas State. For head coach Chris Ash, starting off the season with a victory was three years in the making, as Rutgers had lost both the 2016 and 2017 season openers. The fact that Texas State was coming off a 2-10 season in 2017…
This is Oregon State’s first time playing Ohio State since 1984. Their last game played in 2017 was a 69-10 loss at Oregon, to conclude the season at 1-11. Head coach Jonathan Smith is in his first game at the helm for the Beavers and is trying to bring the program back to the glory years of the late 1990s when there was some…
